چکیده

Abstract This paper studied the adsorption of chemical oxygen demand (COD), oil and turbidity produced water (PW) which accompanies production reconnaissance after treating utilizing powdered activated carbon (PAC), clinoptilolite natural zeolite (CNZ) synthetic type X (XSZ). Moreover, deals with comparison pollutant removal over different adsorbents. Adsorption was executed in a batch system. The effects adsorbent dosage, time, pH, concentration temperature were order to find best operating conditions. isotherm models Langmuir, Freundlich Temkin investigated. Using pseudo-first-order pseudo-second-order kinetic models, kinetics sorption shift COD content on PAC CNZ At dose 0.25 g/100 mL, maximum efficiencies (99.57, 95.87 99.84 percent), total petroleum hydrocarbon (TPH) identified. when used at highest efficiency (99.97%) achieved. It is not dissimilar what you would get (99.65 percent). In zeolites, findings showed that most powerful method for removing organic contaminants from PW. addition, recycling consumed adsorbents carried out this study see whether could be reused. Chemical thermal treatment will effectively regenerate reuse zeolites have been eaten. Graphic abstract

Adsorption Technique for the Removal of Organic Pollutants from Water and Wastewater

Organic pollution is the term used when large quantities of organic compounds. It origi‐ nates from domestic sewage, urban run-off, industrial effluents and agriculture wastewater. sewage treatment plants and industry including food processing, pulp and paper making, agriculture and aquaculture. During the decomposition process of organic pollutants the dissolved oxygen in the receiving water m...

Adsorption removal of pollutants (triphenylmethane and xanthene dyes) from water by charfines and activated carbon

The adsorption removal of Triphenylmethane & Xanthene dyes onto a low-cost coal based adsorption (Charfines) and its efficiency in dye colour sorption was compared with activated carbon (F-400). Batch studies were performed and the results revealed that Charfines demonstrated on ability to adsorb the reactive Triphenylmethane & Xanthene dyes. The sorption interaction of reactive dye on to Charf...

Removal of persistent organic pollutants from micro-polluted drinking water by triolein embedded absorbent.

A new biomimetic absorbent, cellulose acetate (CA) embedded with triolein (CA-triolein), was prepared and applied for the removal of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) from micro-polluted aqueous solution. The comparison of CA-triolein, CA and granular activated carbon (GAC) for dieldrin removal was investigated. Results showed that CA-triolein absorbent gave a lowest residual concentration a...

Removal of Boron from Produced Water by Co-precipitation / Adsorption for Reverse Osmosis Concentrate

Co-precipitation and absorption methods were investigated for removal of boron from produced water, which is groundwater brought to the surface during oil and natural gas extraction. Boron can be toxic to many crops and often needs to be controlled to low levels in irrigation water. The present research focused on synthetic reverse osmosis (RO) concentrate modeled on concentrate expected from a...
